Vintage Itomaki Wooden Spools

This item is a single itomaki wooden spool wrapped with natural silk thread. An itomaki is a Japanese spool used to wind and store silk thread used in the production of kimono and other traditional textiles. It is impossible to date these spools but the patina on the thread suggests that are quite old. You will receive one spool, which may or may not be one of the spools in the attached images. All measure approximately 4.25 inches in height and are fully wrapped.
