This item is a classic black metal box with attached, hinged lid and distressed/faded gold painted accents. It has an attached handle and a missing clasp. The lid closes but no longer tightly. This was typically used in the 1950s to hold cash. It is nicked, scratched, and marked with age. The box when closed measures about 10 x 6.5 x 3.25 inches.
