My favorite part of this vintage steel fly-fishing reel is the star-like casing. Oh and the fact that it still turns easily with attached crank. And hat it has a base that would enable it to be easily attached to an assemblage. And that the wore is still wrapped around the core. It is likely from the 1950s and measures 2 ⅝  x 1 1/4 inches not including the handle..
