On Your Mark - my debut collection of threads with Aurifil - has been designed to work seamlessly with my about-to-be-released collection of fabric from FreeSpirit - also called On Your Mark. But truly this color palette stands on its own.
The collection includes 10 small spools of cotton thread of a variety of weights: 50wt (5 spools), 28wt (2 spools), and 12wt (3 spools). This array of thread colors and weights enables you to make your mark on all your creations - whether you are a quilter, a mixed media artist, a book maker, a clothing designer, or any other type of maker. There are darks, lights, and shades in between.
Aurifil is a family owned and operated, Italian company based in Milan. They specialize in the production of 100% Cotton threads from the Mako region of Egypt. The threads have achieved worldwide success thanks to a dedicated tribe of quilters, sewists, embroiderers, and textile artists who herald the thread for its versatility, its strength, and the fact that it produces virtually no lint.
