I always wax my thread when hand stitching and binding books. It makes both threading the needle & tying off the thread easier and it helps to allow me to stitch through paper without tearing. This little jewel of an item is perfect for that. The package contains one clear plastic wax holder and a 3oz cake of wax - which sounds small but lasts and lasts. Simply run thread through grooves in holder and voila.
