This absolute one-of-a-kind antique Japanese boro textile fragment dates to the early 1900s (likely 1930s) and is an authentic, as-found piece featuring beautiful indigo-dyed patchwork in a mix of striped, plaid, kasuri, plain weaves, and even a piece of tsutsugaki on one side. It measures approximately 20 inches across the shortest part of the top, 27 inches across the longest part of the top, and 43 inches shortest length. Perfect to display as is or to use in your creative projects.
This textile is well-worn with age as is apparent in the attached images. It is distressed, torn, lightly stained, and has both loose seams and multiple holes throughout. In other words...it is perfectly imperfect.
