Welcome to an art sale fundraiser to suport our friend and collegue Jo Packham. Jo is the mastermind behind such publications as Where Women Create, Where Women Cook, and several others. She is based in Ogden, Utah where she has a studio and event space. Don't know who Jo is? You can read a little bit about her here or get to know her through this podcast with Suzanne Redmond. In all her endeavors, over many years, she has been a promotor and uplifter of others. Now the time has come when we need to lift her up.
The pandemic has impacted everybody and creatives are no exception. As a result of the subsequent economic downturn, Jo has had to shut down the publication of her magazines and is in the process of selling her studio/event space. Unless...we all rally and help her. Her longtime photographer Brooke Lark has started a gofundme page and 100% of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to that endeavor.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
--The art sale is being held on Sunday, October 4 from 10:30am to 10:30pm Eastern.
--If you see an item you want to buy, leave a comment on this blog post with the artist's name and the word sold. If more than one person leaves a comment, the person whose comment appears first gets the item.
--I will monitor the page all day and when an item is sold, I will write the buyer's name in the body of the blog post.
--Once you see your name appear by the item you purchased (and not before please), head to the gofundme page and donate the exact amount listed for the item (or more if you are feeling extra generous). You need to include your name in the donation and cannot do it anonymously.
--Once you have donated, please forward the email receipt you received to me at shap97@gmail.com. Or you can send a screenshot of your donation to the same email address.
--I will connect you with the artist so that you can provide shipping information and complete the sale.
--Please note that if you live in the same country as the selling artist, shipping will be paid for by the seller. If however you live outside of their country, you will be required to cover postage and can work this out with the artist via email.
