The Edit: November 2021

Welcome to The Edit

Dropping on the blog on the 1st of every month, The Edit will bring to you all my online finds, links, inspiration, thoughts, and favorites since the last Edit. Plus, there will be a review of and links to my recent demos and online events -- just in case you might have missed one. And a whole lot more.

For those of you who have been around the block with me for some time, think of this as The Sunday Papers. On steroids. Every so often I might hop on my soapbox and share something a bit more serious and topical. But mostly, The Edit is here to provide a moment of escape and a bucket load of inspiration. Let me know what you think in the comments.

New: WOW Embossing Powder

Earlier this week I shared with you my newly released, hot off the stamp press, stamp sets from PaperArtsy. New release week continues today with my new release with WOW. Thrilled to be bringing you Alchemy and Just Desserts - two embossing powder trios for a total of six new colors. These are shipping now from my online shop.

Alchemy is a set of three embossing powders: Dirti Verdi, Tarnished Teal and Silver Smudge. These are opaque metallics with a difference. Grungy and gritty, each of these colors are a blend of many individual crystals, creating a unique and multi-dimensional surface - ever so subtly different with each use. As you look close you will see bits of black sprinkled in the powder, adding depth, shadow and a bit of darkness. The surface feels gritty when you run your finger across the melted powders. The combination of the semi-matte surface and glints of shiny powders add to the uniqueness of these blends.

Just Desserts is a set of three embossing powders: French Toast, Burnt Toffee, and Mud Pie. Like any good dessert, you cannot get enough of them. These are semi-tranlucent powders with a difference. Each powder is a multi-blend of many individual crystals, creating a dynamic and varied color - subtly different with every pour. The surface is slightly more matte than a traditional EP and gritty to the touch. Tiny glints of light catch the eye as it moves across the surface. The combination of the semi-matte surface and bits of shiny powders add to the uniqueness of these blends. The range of colors makes this trio the perfect addition to any project with a vintage feel.

When combined with my previous release, I now have a collection of 12 WOW embossing powders - all of which play well together and are now available as a complete set.
